Martin Flyer unveils engagement social network

New York--Bridal jewelry manufacturer Martin Flyer is getting deeper into social networking, launching an online community for couples who are engaged or considering it.

The site, TheEngagementClub.com, provides a forum where visitors can access expert advice and tips on all aspects of engagement planning--as well as information on Martin Flyer products and how to purchase.

"TheEngagementClub.com is a place to laugh, learn and start your journey," Josh Kaufman, chief executive officer of Martin Flyer, said in a media release. "I created the site because I know getting engaged is an entire process."

The site offers public sharing and interactive areas, including proposal videos, which are posted for visitors to view and vote on; education and tips, including suggestions on best places to propose, how to find her ring size, and how to choose and buy a wedding ring; and "AskJosh," an advice forum where consumers can direct questions to Kaufman.

The site will also feature "A Love Story" section, which will allow visitors to follow a couple as they go through the engagement process and blog about their experience; "Celebrity Weddings," featuring pictures and videos of what the stars are wearing; and a message board for individuals to share engagement stories.

Visitors will be able to stay abreast of updates by following TheEngagementClub.com on Twitter, or by becoming a fan on the site's Facebook page.
