David Meister launches online store

USA -- David Meister, a leader in modern day and evening dresses, announced the launch of its e-Commerce site. David Meister is known for strong silhouettes that are sophisticated yet feminine, featuring stylish materials such as stretch satin, matte jersey and novelty fabrics.

The e-Commerce site, administered by Kellwood's digital team, will be fulfilled out of City of Industry, California. The new shopping site encompasses all of the beauty and elegance of David Meister's designs, showcasing a full collection of day and eveningwear. Special Women's sizes 14W - 24W, introduced by the brand in 2008, will be available on the site as well. DavidMeister.com will incorporate the brands new social networking efforts by linking to the David Meister facebook fan page, a vehicle established to increase customer communication.

"I am excited to sell direct to the consumer and offer women one shopping location that encompasses the full collection," says David Meister, Chairman and Creative Director of David Meister. "Establishing our own retail identity will help position the brand for growth as we move into other product categories in the future."

In May, David Meister was honored by Friendly House with the 2009 Vision award for his outstanding designs and forward thinking. Several weeks later, David Meister's alma mater, University of Cincinnati, honored him as an outstanding alumnus at their 58th annual DAAPworks Fashion Show. David not only received various awards this past year, but he also distributed them, serving as the 2009 master of ceremonies at the UJA Federation luncheon in New York City.

David is an esteemed American designer known for his sophisticated, yet body conscious dress designs. David's dresses, eveningwear and couture red carpet designs have been worn by many socialites and celebrities. At the 2009 Screen Actors Guild Awards, Viola Davis and Diane Lane were chosen as "best dressed" by many fashion critics for their David Meister gowns. Tina Fey accepted her 2008 Emmy in a David Meisterstrapless eggplant, form fitting gown. Sharon Stone, Jennifer Hudson and Felicity Huffman are also a few of the contemporary thinking, fashionable ladies who've shined in his dresses.
