Sotheby's Geneva announces 'Magnificent Jewels' sale |

Sotheby's will host its annual "Magnificent Jewels" sale in Geneva at the Beau-Rivage Hotel on Nov. 15.
The sale will offer diamonds, rare colored gemstones, period pieces from 1850 to the present, as well as signed jewelry by Cartier, Tiffany and Harry Winston.
Highlights of the sale include a pear-shaped, D-color, internally flawless diamond weighing 34.21 carats, estimated at $2 million to $3 million; two cushion-shaped Burmese rubies weighing 18.28 carats and 9.24 carats, estimated at $1 million to $1.5 million and $850,000 to $1.25 million, respectively; and a bracelet featuring 25 colored sapphires (including 19 Burmese sapphires) from the property of a European noble family, estimated at $750,000 to $1 million.
Among the signed pieces in the auction is a Cartier necklace featuring graduated baguette diamonds and a pear-shaped fancy intense orangy-pink diamond weighing 15.91 carats, estimated at $750,000 to $1.1 million.
Items from the sale will go on display in New York, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Calif., San Francisco, Dubai, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Geneva in advance of the auction.
